Each week, as a producer of the DIY Wedding Show, ThistleBEA your wedding (us!) is going to be featuring some of the amazing vendors participating in the Feburary 24, 2018 show, and we are so excited to be boasting about this fantastic event sponsor!
We’ve asked all the vendors the same few questions and we love the variety of answers we’ve been hearing. Because all of our vendors are creatives, they’ve all been able to give us some amazing unique answers and the more we hear about them, the more we get excited about the DIY Wedding Show!
Tell us a little about your business.
Lonsdale Event Rentals is an event rental company that originated in North Vancouver. We have now expanded to 2 locations, our 50,000 square foot warehouse and showroom in Burnaby, as well as our North Shore showroom and pickup and drop-off depot.
We work with many different clients, from caterers to event planners, to those planning an event in their backyard. We have rental items suited for various events, big and small! Some of what we rent includes: glassware, plates, cutlery, linens, tables, chairs, heaters, tents and much more. We deliver all throughout the Lower Mainland, with a large fleet of trucks who can work 24/7 and 365 days a year. We pride ourselves on our customer service and attention to detail- Our event rental specialists aim to make the rental process as stress-free as possible, and our warehouse team inspects, cleans and maintains the high quality of our products.
How do you help DIY couples or couples who focus on affordability?
We offer our rental pricing for 1-3 days. That gives DIY couples enough time to pick up the items and set up the space, without being charged additional costs per day. We also carry various different rental items that range in price levels. For example: Our glassware is available in both crystal and glass, our chairs range from plastic to chivari’s, so those who are looking for a more affordable option have different products to choose from. We also have the option for customers to pickup the items themselves, therefore eliminating any delivery costs.
What is your favorite part of a DIY wedding?
Our favourite part of a DIY wedding is seeing all of the unique personalized décor that be incorporated into a wedding. There are so many creative ways to make custom décor on a budget, with using products you may even already own. It is wonderful to see brides sharing inspiration, and putting work into the various décor related elements of their wedding.
Are you doing a demo at the show? What will it be?
We will not be on the stage, but we will have various products available at the show, featuring some of our wedding favourites including our wine barrels and chivari chairs which are a wedding favourite.
